Keep them wild and free
The Critically Endangered Sumatran elephant is running out of time. Loss of habitat is forcing them into farmland, leading to deadly conflict with humans.
But together, we can change their future.
Your donation will help keep Sumatran elephants safe in the wild. Here’s how:
🛡️ Elephant Protection Teams patrol critical areas within the Leuser Ecosystem. They dismantle traps, stop poachers, and keep elephants safe from harm. Rangers work with local farmers to teach them humane and effective methods to protect crops. This helps keep elephants safe too. GPS tracking gives live updates on elephant movements. This helps teams respond quickly to avoid conflicts.
🚨 The Wildlife Ambulance is a lifeline for injured elephants and other wildlife. Victims of snares, conflict, or poaching receive emergency medical care. This boosts their chances of survival.
🌿 The Way Kambas River Patrol Unit protects one of Sumatra’s last elephant strongholds. Despite being a National Park, Way Kambas is under constant threat from illegal poaching and logging. The River Patrol protects remote and hard-to-reach areas. The team deters illegal activities, removes snares, and keeps the park safe for elephants and other wildlife.
The Leuser Ecosystem and Way Kambas National Park are among the few places left on Earth where Sumatran elephants roam freely. But without urgent action, they could disappear forever.
Your support will help protect critical habitat and keep elephants in the wild, where they belong.
