Today is our favourite day of the year, and the perfect time to celebrate one of the world's most incredible (and Critically Endangered) animals. Every year on August 12, we come together to raise awareness about saving elephants, and the urgent need to protect their forest homes.
And if you’re reading this, you’re already an amazing champion for elephants. Thank you!
To further your support and to help save Sumatran elephants from Extinction, here are just a few wild ways you can take action today:
Adopt an Elephant
There are less than 1,200 Sumatran elephants left in the wild. By adopting an elephant today, you’ll help keep them alive, protected and stomping through the forests–just as nature intended.

No matter how big or small, a donation will help save Sumatran elephants, before they are lost forever. Your generosity will help keep elephants safe from poaching, rescue injured elephants trapped in snares, and keep their forest homes standing. The fate of these gentle giants is in our hands.
